Owner-operator
Run under our authority
Keep your truck, drop the paperwork. You run under our MC 72481813 · USDOT 5620322 on our freight, covered by our primary auto liability and cargo insurance while you are under dispatch.

Straight talk: a leased owner-operator is an independent contractor under a 49 CFR Part 376 lease — not an employee. Our policy covers auto liability and cargo while you are under dispatch. You carry your own physical damage (and trailer) coverage and your own occupational accident or work-injury coverage, and weekly deductions for insurance, IFTA, ELD and admin are listed in the lease you sign. Ask us for the lease before you apply — we will send it.

Requirements
What you’ll need
Company driver or leased owner-operator, the same list applies — these aren't our rules, most of them come straight out of 49 CFR Part 391.
Valid CDL-A
Current, unexpired, and not suspended in any state. Endorsements are a plus, not a must.
Current DOT medical card
Unexpired DOT physical from a certified medical examiner on the national registry.
21 years or older
Federal minimum for interstate commerce.
Verifiable work history
You list 10 years of driving jobs on the application; we verify the last 3 years with your previous employers. That call is required of us, not optional.
Clean DOT testing record
Pre-employment drug screen and a clear Clearinghouse query before your first dispatch.
A driving record we can insure
MVR and PSP reviewed individually. Something on your record isn't automatically a no — hiding it is.

Questions drivers actually ask us
How long does the application take?
About 10 minutes if you have your CDL and med card handy. It saves your answers on your phone as you go, so you can stop and pick it back up.
Do you take recent CDL graduates?
Apply and be honest about your experience. Insurance requirements set the floor for what we can put you in, and we'll tell you plainly where you stand instead of stringing you along.
I have an accident or a violation on my record. Should I bother?
Yes. We review MVR and PSP individually. What kills an application is leaving something off that we're going to find anyway — we're required to pull those reports.
Why do you need 10 years of employment history?
Federal rule. 49 CFR §391.21 requires 3 years of all employment and 10 years of DOT safety-sensitive driving jobs so the carrier can check your safety performance history.
Do you ask for my Social Security number on the website?
No. We don't collect SSNs through the web form. That comes later on the signed DQ packet, when we actually need it to run your MVR and background check.
What happens to my information?
It goes into our applicant records and is used for hiring and DOT qualification only. We don't sell it. See our privacy page.
